Overshiel Farm Self Storage – Customer Payment Policy

1. Overview

Overshiel Farm Self Storage uses Stora, a secure and modern storage management platform, to manage bookings, payments, and invoicing. This policy explains the payment methods we accept, how recurring payments work, and what customers can expect when paying for their storage unit.

2. Accepted Payment Methods

2.1 Debit or Credit Card added to account (Preferred)

We accept all major debit and credit cards.

  • Card details are stored securely through Stora’s PCI-compliant payment provider.
  • Card details will be provided during the booking process.
  • Card details will be requested periodically for accounts using alternative method payments.
  • Payments are processed automatically according to your billing cycle.
  • You can update card details at any time through your online customer account.
  • Receipts will be received once your card has been successfully charged. Receipts replace invoices when paying by card.

2.2 Bank Transfer (If Agreed in Advance)

Bank transfer payments may be accepted.

  • Payment must clear before access to the unit is granted.
  • Customers are responsible for ensuring payments reach us before the due date.

3. Billing & Recurring Payments

3.1 Recurring Billing Cycle

Stora automatically generates invoices for your chosen storage term (typically monthly, unless otherwise specified).

  • The registered card will be charged automatically on the invoice due date.
  • Customers receive email notifications for all invoices and payment receipts.

3.2 Prorated Charges

If you move in or out mid-cycle, Stora automatically calculates any prorated fees or credits.

4. Failed or Late Payments

4.1 Failed Payments

If a card payment fails, Stora will attempt to retry the payment.

  • You will be notified by email and prompted to update your payment details.
  • Continued non-payment may result in restricted access to your unit in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.

4.2 Late Fees

Late fees may be applied in line with our standard storage agreement. These are clearly stated during the booking process.

5. Security of Payment Information

  • All payments are processed through Stora’s secure payment partners (e.g., Stripe), ensuring full PCI DSS compliance.
  • Overshiel Farm Self Storage does not store or have access to your full card information.
  • Customers can manage their account and payment details directly through the Stora customer portal.
